Golf Begins Postseason Play at Conference USA Championship

HOUSTON — The Rice golf team will begin postseason play this Monday-Thursday, April 26-29, at the Conference USA Championship in Texarkana, Ark. The tournament will be played at the par-72, 6,969-yard Texarkana Country Club.
FORMAT
The Championship will consist of three rounds of stroke play. After the final round, the top four teams will advance to the semifinals of match play. The winners of the semifinal matches will face off in the finals.

Leading the field are six teams in the latest Golfstat Top 100 rankings, including No. 33 Charlotte, No. 38 UAB, No. 44 UTSA, No. 74 North Texas, No. 79 Florida Atlantic and No. 95 Middle Tennessee. Also joining Rice are Louisiana Tech, Marshall, Old Dominion, Southern Miss, UTEP and WKU.
