In Brief: The Rice women's tennis team (3-2) welcomes longtime rival Texas Tech to George R. Brown Tennis Center for the second of four consecutive home matches for the Owls.

Texas Tech: The Red Raiders come to Houston for three matches in the next two days after opening their dual season with a pair of wins last weekend in El Paso. They will face Sam Houston State in a second match at GRBTC on Saturday afternoon and wrap up the trip with a Sunday dual vs. Houston. Rice leads the series 15-10, but Tech has won the last eight. Rice's last win in the series came on 2/14/10, a 6-1 decision at Jake Hess Tennis Stadium. Tech is 2-0 at GRBTC.
