Quincy Olivari Named Preseason All-Conference Honoree

HOUSTON — Sophomore guard Quincy Olivari was named a Preseason All-Conference USA Honoree, the conference office announced Thursday afternoon.
Olivari's performance last year earned him Third Team All-Conference honors. He led the team and was eighth in Conference USA with 16.3 points per game. He also led the league and was ninth in the NCAA with 88 three-pointers, which was also the second-most in a season in school history. He led C-USA with 3.1 three-pointers per game and a 40.9% three-point field goal percentage and was also second on the team with 5.3 rebounds per game.
He led the team in scoring 13 times and recorded 20 double-figure scoring games. The Atlanta, Ga., led the Owls with 10, 20-point games last year, including scoring a career-high 35 points at Houston Baptist, the second-most points in Conference USA last year.
The Owls were picked to finish eighth in Conference USA. UAB was selected to win the league, followed by Louisiana Tech and WKU.
