In Brief: The Rice women's tennis team (2-1) will join with the men's team in taking on LSU at the LSU Tennis Complex at noon on Sunday.

LSU: The Tigers were originally scheduled to open the season by participating in the ITA Kickoff weekend at the Austin Regional along with Texas, Arizona State and Baylor (all future Rice opponents) but the event was cancelled. The Tigers were ranked 24th in the preseason polls and received votes in the most recent tabulation. LSU leads the series 10-8 thanks to a four-match winning streak. The Owls last win in the series was a 6-1 win in 2015. This is third meeting between the two at the Tigers current complex, which opened in 2015 and the Tigers have won two of three. This is the third consecutive meeting between the schools as a combine dual with the men's teams.
