
Recruiting Class Recognized by PrepVolleyball.com

HOUSTON – For the third time in the last four years, Rice Volleyball was recognized by PrepVolleyball.com for assembling a "Highest Honorable Mention" recruiting class (2020) announced by the organization on Tuesday.
The list was decided on with the help of a panel of coaches who each provided valuable input and discussions about the future of the programs. The size and strength of each class was considered as well as their ability to improve their program and make waves on the conference and national levels. Only high school graduates who will be making their initial appearance in a four-year program were considered.
Rice's 2020 class consists of Danyle Courtley, 6-1 OH/RS, Cinco Ranch (Katy, Texas); Lauren Gips, 6-2 MB, Lake Highland (Orlando, Fla.); Sahara Maruska, 5-8 OH, St. Agnes (Houston, Texas); Nia McCardell, 5-7 Libero, Ridge Point (Missouri City, Texas); Izzy Rawlings, 5-11 S, John Paul II (Plano, Texas).
Other programs included in the Highest Honorable Mention include: Arkansas, Boston College, Brown, California, Dayton, Georgia, Iowa, Iowa St., Liberty, Lipscomb, Miami (FL), Ole Miss, Mississippi St., NC State, North Carolina, Oregon, Pepperdine, Saint Louis, San Diego, Tennessee, Texas Tech, UC Santa Barbara, Utah, Villanova, Virginia, Wake Forest, Washington, Washington St. and Yale.
The Top-30 recruiting classes in the nation will be unveiled over the next three days.
