Owls Return Home to Host Mean Green
The Rice Owls will look to get back in the win column on Thursday when they return to the friendly confines of Tudor Fieldhouse to host North Texas on Fight Cancer Night. The Owls have dropped consecutive C-USA games for the first time since Feb. 25-Mar. 1 of 2018 while the Mean Green come in having lost six consecutive conference games, three of which have been by five points or less. Rice has dominated the series of late with the Mean Green, having won 10 of the prior 11 meetings, including a 67-52 victory in Denton at the start of the month. The Owls have won eight straight at home and are 36-2 at Tudor Fieldhouse over the last three seasons.

Last Time Out
The Owls fell to the 49ers of Charlotte last Saturday afternoon at Halton Arena, 62-51. Senior guard Erica Ogwumike came up one rebound shy of a double-double with a team-high 14 points and nine rebounds in the loss. Freshman Lauren Schwartz (9 points) and sophomore Jasmine Smith (8 points) also led the Owls scoring charge.

The two games she failed to record double-digit rebounds she notched nine rebounds in each contest.
