Men’s Basketball Faces Houston Baptist in First of Two Road Games

HOUSTON — Rice will begin a stretch of three out of four road games when it travels to crosstown rival Houston Baptist this Saturday, Dec. 5. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game will be livestreamed by Husky Sports Network.
Scouting Rice
• Rice enters Saturday's game with a 3-0 record after defeating LeTourneau, 94-74, Thursday afternoon.
• Sophomore guard Travis Evee leads the Owls with 14.3 points per game while connecting on a team-best 42.9% from three, which is tied for eighth in Conference USA. He is also tied for third in three-pointers made per game (3.0).
• Sophomore forward Max Fiedler is averaging a double-double, scoring 14.0 points per game while pulling down a conference-best 11.3 rebounds. He is also fifth in field goal percentage (65.4%) and tied for eighth in assists (3.7).
• Junior guard Chris Mullins is scoring 13.0 points per game while adding 3.0 assists per game.
