The Lede: Rice closed out the final day of the fall-opening Texas A&M Invitational capturing two of three doubles matches at the Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station on Sunday.

The Details: Anna Bowtell grabbed Rice's only singles victory, defeating Samantha Buyckx of LSU in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, while combining with Victoria Smirnova for a 6-2 doubles win over Riley McQuaid and Lucia Quiterio of Texas A&M. Frederica Trevisan and Michaela Haet also joined to defeated Texas A&M's Katya Townsend and Elise Robbins, 7-6.
