PR Club to Hold Calendar Event on Nov. 1

Spence, Stadel, '95 Indoor Team to be honored
HOUSTON - The PR Club has announced its honorees for the 2019 Calendar Event to be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 at the R Room. The honorees will be featured in the 2020 Rice University Track Calendar and they are:
*Dr. Dale Spence – 1955 and 1956 SWC Champion
*Ken Stadel – Member of the Rice University Athletic Hall of Fame, four-time SWC Champion in the Discus ('71-'72-'73-'74), three-time NCAA All American ('72-'73-'74), and Olympic Trials Qualifier ('80). Stadel still holds the Rice discus and shot put records, is the 12th best USA discus thrower of all time, and placed second twice at the NCAA meet.
*The 1995 SWC Indoor Championship Track Team (7th at NCAA Meet)
The PR Club is dedicated to promoting excellence in Rice University Men's Track & Field and Cross Country.
