Cabo, Mexico — Rice golf is in 12th place heading into the final round of the Querencia Cabo Intercollegiate, played at the par-71, 6,928-yard Los Cabos Querencia.
The Owls carded an 18-over par 302 to sit 31-over par.
Junior Nicholas Duggan leads Rice at even par after carding a 73 to sit in a tie for 22nd place. Sophomore Jake Benson and freshman Campbell Gibson, playing as an individual are tied for 45th place at seven-over par. The duo posted rounds of 76 and 77, respectively.
Senior Grant Rogers is tied for 58th place at 12-over par after carding a 74. Senior Mason Weld shot a 79 to sit in 64th place at 14-over par and freshman Austin Escamilla is in 69th place after posting an 82 to sit 18-over par.
No. 1 Oklahoma State leads the tournament at 22-under par, nine strokes in front of No. 36 Baylor. OSU's Austin Eckroat has the individual lead at 10-under par, five strokes in front of a five-way tie for second place.
