HUNTINGTON, W.V. – The Rice Owls women's basketball team established a single-season program record by winning their 13th consecutive game, defeating Marshall 79-67 Saturday afternoon at the Cam Henderson Center.
Rice (20-3, 11-0) reached the 20-win milestone faster than any Owls team in program history and surpassed the 12-game win streaks accomplished by the 2003-04 and 2004-05 teams. The Owls also extended their road winning streak to nine, currently the second-longest in the nation.
