The Lede: Sumit Sarkar ground out a pair of three-set matches to advance to the fourth round of singles play and teamed with Eric Rutledge to reach the doubles quarterfinals to highlight action for Rice on the second day of the 2019 ITA Texas Men's Regional Championship in Waco, Texas on Saturday.

The Details: Sakar, the fourth seed, shook off opening set losses in both matches to storm back in three sets to reach the Round of 16 where he will take on Austin Abbrat of Texas A&M. He teamed with Rutledge for a pair of wins to reach the doubles quarterfinals where the tourney's third seeds will take on sixth seeds Ryan Dickerson and Matias Soto of Baylor. Conrad Russell picked up a pair of wins in consolation doubles and will join Jacob Eskeland in action on Sunday morning.
