Rutledge and Sarkar Advance to Doubles Final

Eric Rutledge and Sumit Sarkar advanced to the doubles title match of the John Breaux Cajun Tennis Classic with a pair of wins on Saturday while each adding a second win in singles.
The Owls duo downed Louisiana's Jan Galka and Kacper Dworak, 8-5 and LSU's Shane Monroe and Malik Bhatnagar, 8-3, to advance to Sunday's championship match against Artem Kapshuk and Ilgiz Valiev of Texas Tech.
Sarkar saw his hopes of upsetting Texas' 62nd ranked Leo Telles (Texas) fall short as Telles emerged with a three set win 6-4, 6-7, 6-3, but he bounced back with a 6-4, 6-7 (4) over Pearce Dolan of Louisiana.
Eric Rutledge defeated Kapsuchuk 7-5, 6-2 in his consolation match.
