Jacob Eskeland dropped a 6-4, 6-4 decision to Preston Touliatos of Tennessee in the third place match of the Houndstooth Singles Draw to conclude the Owls efforts at the Crimson Tide Four in the Fall Championships in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on Sunday.
Eskeland concluded the weekend with a 2-2 mark in singles to lead the Owls in the opening weekend of their Fall tournament schedule.
True freshmen true freshmen Adam Oscislawski and Karol Paluch fell in their final matches of the weekend. Oscilawski was edged by Memphis' David Stevenson 7-6(5), 6-7(6), 1-0 (10-8) while Paluch fell to Jochen Bertsch of Oklahoma, 6-3, 6-3.
Junior Eric Rutledge and sophomore Sumit Sarkar will make their 2018 debuts next weekend by competing in the John Breaux Cajun Classic in Lafayette, Louisiana.
