Fox Honored by Ray Guy Award

Rice punter Jack Fox has been highlighted for the third time this year as member of the Ray Guy Award's Ray's 8 list, which recognizes the top eight punters in college football each week.
The Ray Guy Award national punter of the week will be selected from the Ray's 8 list and announced Wednesday. Fans are encouraged to tweet @RayGuyAward to let them know why their punter should be the national punter of the week.
Fox continued his standout senior season on Saturday night against UTSA, averaging 45.8 yards on six punts. He had a pair of punts of better than 50 yards and placed four of six inside the Roadrunners 20, three of them inside the 10. He has 13 punts inside the 20 this year, with 10 inside the 10.
He leads Conference USA with 10 punts of more than 50 yards this year and is tied for the C-USA lead with 13 punts inside the 20 and is second with a 44.4 average. As a team, Rice leads C-USA and is ranked seventh nationally in net punting with a 42.9 average.
