Musial Named to C-USA All-Academic Team

IRVING, Texas - Rice senior Clay Musial was named to the 2018 InTouch Credit Union Conference USA Men's Cross Country All-Academic Team, the league office announced on Thursday (10/25).
A native of Elgin, Ill., Musial boasts a 3.43 GPA while majoring in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology and English. Musial has competed in all three races for the Owls this season, highlighted by a fourth place finish at the Norry Hersey Rice Invitational, which earned him C-USA Male Athlete of the Week honors.
Musial has been named to the C-USA Academic Honor Roll three times while also earning Rice Honor Athlete accolades and a spot on the President's Honor Roll.
The C-USA All-Academic Team consists of six student-athletes that have earned a 3.2 cumulative grade point average or better and are a key member on their respective teams.
Musial and the Owls will be competing at the C-USA Championships this Saturday at 8:15 a.m. (CT) at the Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park, hosted by Florida Atlantic.
