HOUSTON - Rice redshirt sophomore Abigail Cartwright and senior Katie Jensen will be competing at their first career NCAA Division I Women's Cross Country Championship this Saturday, which will begin at 10 a.m. CT at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Ind.

Saturday will mark the first time that Rice will send two individuals to an NCAA Cross Country Championship in the program's history.

Jensen and Cartwright each clinched berths to the NCAA Championship by finishing seventh and eighth, respectively, at last week's NCAA South Central Regional.
