Singles Sweep Concludes Fall Campaign

Jake Hansen ground out a three-set win over LSU's Boris Arias to highlight a clean sweep of matches for the Rice men's tennis team on the final day of singles competition at the LSU Fall Invitational at the LSU Tennis Complex on Sunday.
Hansen outlasted the Tiger senior 7-5, 5-7, 7-5 to pick up his second win in three matches. Sophomore Jamie Malik also picked up a rugged three-set win, rallying from a first set loss to down Jonathan Carcione of Princeton, 5-7, 7-6(9), 7-5.
Senior Adam Gustafsson downed Tulane's Tyler Schick, 7-5, 6-3. Junior Henrik Munch raced to a 6-0, 6-1 win over Florin Radu of Princeton while freshman Emanuel Llamas defeated Ole Miss' Robert Mougner 7-6(4), 6-2.
The LSU Invite wraps up the Owls' fall tennis schedule. They will open their 2016 dual season on January 15 when they host a dual doubleheader with Abilene Christian and Prairie View.
