NEWS & NOTES
- The Rice Owls hit the road for a pair of C-USA games this weekend, beginning Friday in Murfreesboro against Middle Tennessee. The Blue Raiders defeated the Owls in five sets back on Oct. 11 at Tudor Fieldhouse. Rice then travels to Ruston, La. to face Louisiana Tech for the first time this season on Sunday afternoon.
- Rice senior libero Kimberly Vaio is coming off a career-high 25 dig performance vs. North Texas. The San Antonio native has recorded 20 or more digs in four matches this season.
- Rice ranks in the Top-20 in the nation in five different categories entering play Friday. The Owls rank third in both total team assists (1,189) and total team kills (1,263). Rice also comes in at 18th in both assists per set (13.36) and total team attacks (3,259). The Owls are 20th in kills per set (14.19).
