The Rice men's tennis team accepted the challenge from their four-year old honorary captain and threw whipped cream pies in their faces on Wednesday at part of the national Whipping Childhood Cancer initiative.
Last spring, the Owls adopted Bennett Nester as their honorary captain through The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation whose mission is to improve the quality of life for children and their families who are battling pediatric brain tumors by pairing them with college and high school athletic teams.
Nester was named the Owls' honorary captain and will have his own locker when the Owls move into their new George R. Brown Tennis Center later this month.
