Owls Fall in Final Four Matches

All four of Rice's entries in the consolation rounds of the USTA/ITA Texas Regional dropped their matches on Monday morning to wrap up play for the Owls at the Mitchell Tennis Center on the campus of Texas A&M University.
David Warren fell to TCU's Trey Daniel 6-4, 6-4 and Jamie Malik was downed by Jolan Caileau of Texas Tech, 6-3, 6-1 in the Round of 64 consolation bracket.
In the round of 128 consolation semis, Gustavo Gonzalez fell to the bracket's eventual winner, Lamar's Michael Feucht, 6-2, 6-4 while Henrik Munch dropped a 6-1, 6-3 decision to Trevor Johnson of TCU.
The Texas Regional wraps up the fall tournament schedule for the Owls.
