
Munch and Yablon Grab Wake Forest Doubles Title

Rice sophomores Henrik Munch and Zach Yablon closed out an unbeaten weekend with an 8-6 win over Walker Heffron and Parks Thompson of Wofford to capture the B2 Flight doubles title at the Wake Forest Fall in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Sunday.
The Owls' two other finalist on Sunday fell in their title matches.
Max Andrews dropped a tough three-set decision to Artem Khrapko of Davidson in the B2 singles flight, 7-5, 2-6, 6-4, while Andrews and Adam Gustafsson fell in the A2 Doubles final to Wake Forest's top-seeded duo of Maksim Kan and Nicky Kunz, 8-5.
In consolation fifth place matches, Gustafsson dropped his match in A2 singles to Michael Lippens of Louisville, 6-2, 7-5 while Munch fell to Tennessee's Bartosz Sawicki 6-3, 7-5 in the B1 flight.
The entire Owls team will be back in action next weekend when they travel to College Station for the USTA/ITA Texas Regional Championships.
