Chaney Named All-American By USTFCCCA

Clayton Chaney was named an honorable mention All-American by the USTFCCCA, the organization announced Monday. He receives All-America honors for the second consecutive year.
This season, Clayton Chaney repeated as C-USA Champion in the decathlon, and became the fifth straight winner of the event from Rice. He scored a career-high 7,678 points for the victory. He joined Ryan Walsh (2005-06) and Philip Adam (2009-11) as the only Rice athletes to win back-to-back conference championships in the decathlon.
He registered an 17th-place finish at the NCAA Championships in the event, competing in the final round for the second straight year. He has the top decathlon score in C-USA and ranks in the top 20 of the league in eight other individual events.
