Jenkins Named to C-USA All-Academic Team

HOUSTON - Rice senior outside hitter Tyler Jenkins was named to the 2013 Conference USA All-Academic Volleyball Team on Monday, as selected by the league's Sports Information Directors.
Jenkins, a native of Deer Park, Texas (Deer Park HS), is a first-time C-USA All-Academic selection. The senior from McMurtry College has a 3.81 GPA in Economics.
Jenkins is fourth on the Owls in kills (181) in 74 sets played this season for 2.45 kills per set average.
The Owls begin the C-USA Tournament on Thursday, November 21 at 7 p.m. as they take on No. 7 seed UAB in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
