Kubitza Named Most Outstanding Player At Houston College Classic

HOUSTON - With freshman right-hander Austin Kubitza leading the way as the Most Outstanding Player of the 2011 Houston College Classic, four Owls were named to the All-Tournament team it was announced late Sunday night at Minute Maid Park.
Joining Kubitza as Owls to earn All-Tournament honors are freshman Shane Hoelscher (3B), sophomore Michael Ratterree (2B) and junior Anthony Rendon (DH). Rice, Baylor and Utah all had 2-1 records at the Classic. The full all-tournament team and the weekend statistics of the honorees are listed below:
