The Rice women's tennis team snapped a four-match losing streak by blanking Tyler JC , 7-0 on Sunday at Jake Hess Tennis Stadium.
The Owls grabbed the doubles point by taking two of three matches and then captured all six singles matches in straight sets to pick up their ninth win of the season.
"Coach (John) Peterson does an excellent job with his teams at TJC and we knew that they would be ready to go against us, " Rice head coach Elizabeth Schmidt said. "We improved as the match went along and I think our team did good job finishing off matches on all the singles courts today."
The Owls will be back in action on Sunday when they host TCU at 10 a.m.
