Lin Falls in Championship at Alonti Cougar Fall Draw

Despite coming from behind in the second set, Rice University senior Rebecca Lin dropped a 6-3, 6-4 decision against Akron's Angelica Jogasuria in her flight finals at the Alonti Cougar Fall Draw Sunday. The tournament wrapped up the fall season for the Owls.
Lin had advanced to the championship of the Flight B draw by winning a total of three matches over the first two days of the tournament.
All four of Rice players to compete in the University of Houston-hosted tournament were in action in singles play Sunday.
In consolation play of Flight A, Rebekka Hanle defeated Angelina Jogasuria of Akron 6-3, 6-0. In Flight B consolation play, Varsha Shiva Shankar defeated Frederique Sunstrum of Lee College 6-2, 6-2. Also on Sunday in Flight E consolation play, Mecklin Ragan posted a 6-2, 6-0 win over Lee College's Gina Stephenson.
