
Rice Volleyball Honors its Seniors Tonight vs. Houston

The Rice Owls volleyball team will honor its four seniors Thursday evening prior to the match vs. Houston at 7 p.m. in Tudor Fieldhouse. Being honored are Natalie Bogan, Jessie Boulavsky, Channing Grigsby, and Jennifer McClean.
The Owls enter the match on a four-match winning streak and are 18-8 overall and 10-5 in Conference USA. The Cougars are 9-21 on the season and 6-9 in C-USA action.
Sophomore Ashleigh McCord leads the Owls with 324 kills (3.86 kps), while Bogan leads Rice with a .338 hitting percentage. Setter Meredith Schamun is tops in the league with a 11.88 assists per set average and Tracey Lam is first in C-USA with a 5.41 digs per set average.
UH is paced by senior Kinsey Cave's 367 kills.
Starting Nov. 20, Rice will serve as host to the 2009 Conference USA Volleyball Championship. The three-day event will be hosted inside Tudor Fieldhouse and will feature the league's top eight teams. An All-Session pass, which includes seven matches, is $15 for adults and $10 for youth.
Single session ticket prices are $8 for adults and $4 for youth and groups. FREE admission to all C-USA members with a valid university ID.
