Saravia Wins Title at Texas Invitational

AUSTIN - Rice University's Christian Saravia defeated teammate Jonathan Chang 6-0, 5-7, 6-2 Sunday to capture the B Draw championship at the Texas Invitational.
Saravia, who won five matches over three days to win the singles title, also played in the tournament's doubles championship with teammate Michael Nusslein. The pair dropped an 8-4 decision to the tournament's top seeds, Dimitar Kutrovsky and Josh Zavala.
For Saravia and Nusslein, Sunday's championship match marked their third straight opponent from host Texas.
