NCAA Outdoor Results

Sophomore Jason Colwick did not advance to the pole vault final after he did not clear a preliminary height. Colwick entered the competition with the nation's number one mark of 5.55m/18-2.25.

The San Marcos, Texas, native passed on heights set at 4.95m/16-2.75 and at 5.10m/16-8.75. Colwick then missed on all three of his attempts at 5.25m/17-2.75 to be eliminated from the competition.

The top 15 qualified for Friday's final.
