Owls Host Mustangs on Saturday

HOUSTON - The Rice women return to action on Saturday afternoon, hosting No. 62 SMU at 3 pm at the Jake Hess Tennis Stadium.

The last time the two teams met was to vie for the 2006 Conference USA Championship in Dallas last April. The Owls prevailed in that meeting, upsetting the Mustangs 4-1. In their last regular season meeting, though, SMU won 4-3 at Rice. The Mustangs hold a 19-15 advantage in the all-time series with the Owls.

Dominique Karas and Rebecca Lin lead the Owls with eight singles wins each this season. Karas holds a 6-2 mark at No. 4 singles, while Lin has won three of her last four matches.
