HOUSTON -- The Rice volleyball team returns home this weekend to take on Marshall and East Carolina, and join the national "Dig for the Cure" program to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation against the Thundering Herd on Friday at Fox Gym.

The "Dig For The Cure" challenge is for fans to pledge money for each dig the Owls record against the Thundering Herd. Rice currently ranks 15th nationally, averaging 19.19 digs per game, and has an even better mark against C-USA foes, averaging 20.11 dpg. So for a three-game league match, the Owls are averaging about 60 digs.
