
Solares Second in 800 at Tyson Invitational

Pablo Solares finished second in the 800 meters with a time of 1:51.07, and helped the Rice 4x400 to a season-best 3:14.37 to highlight action at the Tyson Invitational here Saturday.
Solares, who was fourth in the mile Friday night, finished just behind William Emase of Western Kentucky, who won in 1:50.86. He teamed up with Eric Spear, Bahnsen Miller and Tyler Whitham on the relay to record the Owls' best time of the year.
Devon Fanfair placed sixth in the triple jump with a season-best 14.62m/47-11.75.
At the Houston/RunSport all-comers meet at Yeoman Fieldhouse Saturday, Omar Wright nabbed fourth in the high jump with a season-best 2.08m/6-9.75 clearance.
