The early season honors continue to pour in for junior right fielder Lance Pendleton. Fresh off his selection to the Minute Maid Park College Classic all-tournament team, Pendleton has the honor of answering Monday's Ballpark Chatter!

Pendleton is currently leading the team in hits (6) and batting average (.375) and he shares the team lead in doubles (2). This is the second consecutive season for Pendleton to earn all-tournament honors at the College Classic. The stand out from Kingwood High School is the first Rice player to accomplish that feat since Eric Arnold in 2001-02.

Did you know? This season Lance is a perfect 3-for-3 when batting with runners in scoring position.
