For the second consecutive match, the Owls opened the day's action by winning all three doubles matches and claiming the first point.
Freshman Annie Goodrich continued to show she has returned to form by blanking Callie Johnson 6-0, 6-0 at number six singles. Three days prior, she dispatched her North Texas opponent 6-1, 6-0 in her first match in over a month. Her classmate Yasmin Fisher also put on a dominating performance, as she shut down Ashley Cagle at the five spot with a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Senior Erin Waters, junior Judith Hagedorn and sophomore Jeri Gonzales each swept their opponents to secure the team victory. Hagedorn dropped Sarah Osborn 6-1, 6-2 at number two for her team-leading 10th singles victory in dual-match action.
