Aduddell has been a part of the greatest stretch in Rice women's basketball history. In her three seasons at Rice, the Owls have gone 72-22 and 42-8 in C-USA play.
The Owls have played in the postseason in three of the last four seasons, which includes the NCAA Tournament (2019), WNIT (2018), and WBI (champions in 2017). Rice was also set to be the automatic NCAA Tournament qualifier in 2020 before the postseason was canceled.
Rice University head women’s basketball coach Tina Langley announced the hiring of assistant coach Lee Aduddell on May 9, 2017.
Aduddell joined the Owls after spending the previous four years as an assistant coach at the University of Nebraska Omaha, where she served as the recruiting coordinator, oversaw the development of Omaha’s perimeter players, scout and film prep, and organized elite camp coordination.
During her tenure with the Mavericks, Aduddell planned and executed offseason development for guard play by position. She was responsible for in-season guard film, position work, and individual development with shooters. Aduddell coached a Summit League All-First Team selection, a Defensive Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year award winners.
Prior to her time at UNO, Aduddell spent two years working as a graduate assistant under hall of famer head coach Sherri Coale at the University of Oklahoma. During her two-year stint at OU, the Sooners posted a 45-24 record and made a Sweet Sixteen appearance in 2013. Aduddell’s duties at OU included assisting the staff in recruiting correspondence, recruiting database maintenance and facilitating practice stats.
Aduddell began her coaching career in 2008 at Trinity University in San Antonio, where she spent three years serving many roles (recruiting coordinator, strength and conditioning coach, travel). During her tenure she successfully recruited players who would go on to earn first-team all-conference, conference player of the year, conference defensive player of the year, all-region and honorable mention all-America honors.
Aduddell graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2008, where she served as the junior varsity coach in her final year of eligibility. An Edmond, Okla., native, Aduddell received a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Abilene Christian University in 2008 and a master’s in athletic administration from the University of Oklahoma in 2013.
