Named to Phil Steel’s All-AAC fourth team and named honorable mention by AAC coaches CFN… Started all 12 games, finishing his career with 25 consecutive starts (42) total while reaching career highs in tackles (52) and passes defended (9) along with is first career interception and his first career reception on offense… Led the team in tackles three times in 12 games, including a career-high 11 vs. UTSA… Hauled in a 40-yard reception vs. UTSA to set up the Owls’ third touchdown… Picked off a Seth Hennigan pass at Memphis… Returned eight punts for 50 yards and closed his career with 44 career punt returns (tied for fifth all-time at Rice) for 402 yards (sixth).
2023
Started all 13 games this year and posted career highs in tackles (50) TFL (3/17), sacks (1/9) as well as punt returns (16), and punt return yardage (160)… Credited with a career-best nine tackles at UTSA, bettering his effort of eight in the opener at Texas… Broke up three passes vs. Houston… Credited with his first career sack as part of a two TFL effort at Charlotte… Had a season-best 39-yard punt return against East Carolina and totaled 41 yards on four returns vs. Florida Atlantic… Has averaged 10.1 yards over 35 career punt returns.

Credited with a career-best 18 unassisted tackles and returned 10 punts for a career-best 103 yards while being limited to nine games…. Opened the year with a season-best four tackles in the opener at USC and was credited with at least one tackle in each of his nine games… Saw action in a career-best 544 snaps, third among the DBs… Top game came vs. UAB when he allowed just two completions in seven targets… Provided the key play new the end of the first quarter at LA Tech…Picked off a pass in the end zone with the Bulldogs leading 10-0 and inside the Owls' 20 after a fumble recovery.

All-Freshman C-USA by conference coaches... Tied for second on the team with six PBU and for fourth with seven passes defended... Lead the team with 317 yards on 14 kick returns (22,6 average)… Total yards and average per return are the best since 2018 when Austin Walter ended the year with 491 yards and a 27.3 average... Lead the team with 10 punt returns for 99 yards, 48 of them on a return with 1:19 left in the game to set up the winning touchdown against LA Tech on Senior Day… Return was the longest by an Owl since 10/31/98 (three years and 10 days before Fresch was born) when LaDouphyous McCalla returned one 52 yards vs. Colorado State... His 9.9 yard average per punt return was the best by an Owl since Mario Hull averaged 10.2 on 16 returns in 2011... Picked off his first career pass in the opener at Arkansas, credited with a pair of tackles (one for a shared TFL), and broke up a pass vs. Houston.

Earned a start in the opener vs. Middle Tennessee and was credited with a pair of tackles before an injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season.

Unanimous All-District 12-5A selection as a kick returner as well as a first-team selection at running back as a senior for coach Jahmal Fenner Sr… Compiled 1,377 all-purpose yards (496 rushing, 343 receiving, 418 punt returns, 80 kickoff returns) and scored 12 touchdowns on offense and credited with 27 tackles (three for loss), picked off a pair of passes, and forced two fumbles in addition to having a long punt of 64 yards as a senior… Defensive MVP of District 12-5A and an All-Centex selection by the Austin American Statesman as a junior… Also played baseball and competed in track… State qualifier in the long jump in Texas Class 5A (22-2) and finished eighth with a jump of 21-8.25… National Honor Society… Boys and Girls Club.
