Honors at Rice
2024
Took over as the Owls’ short-field punter over the last seven games and placed nine of 12 punts inside the opponents’ 20 (five at the 10 or less and two at the one) with only one touchback.
2023
Handled all the Owls punting duties as well as all holds for placekicks…. Averaged 39.3 on 54 punts… Averaged 50.5 on two punts vs. Texas Southern and 45.0 on five kicks in the opener at Texas.
2022
Handled all the Owls’ punting chores in his first season after transferring from Georgetown… Averaged 41 yards per punt on 49 kicks… Placed 10 punts inside the 20 and had five of better than 50 yards, including a long of 64 in the rain at North Texas… Was a prep school teammate of Rice RB Dean Connors for one year at Hawaii Prep and the duo combined for a pair of crucial plays in the fourth quarter vs. UAB… Connors scored his first career TD to put Rice ahead to stay and Hunt blasted a 46-yard punt from the Owls' 15 to set up the Blazers final possession at their 39 with 1:07 left in the game.
Georgetown
All-Patriot League selection in his first season of collegiate action in 2021 after the 2020 season had been canceled … Averaged 41.7 yards on 51 punts, placing 19 inside the 20 … 10 of his 51 punts were for at least 50 yards … Boomed a pair of better than 60 yards, with a career-best of 66 vs. Colgate … Took over kickoff duties in the second half of the season and averaged 53.6 yards on 22 kicks with one touchback.
Hawaii Preparatory Academy
All-State selection as a senior for coach Kaluka Maiava at Hawaii Prep, located in Kamuela (same town where fellow Owl Dean Connors attended high school) … Two-time All-BIIF (Big Island Interscholastic Federation) selection … John L.
