Simmons assists Dunlevie Family Head Football Coach Mike Bloomgren in the administration of all aspects of the program and serves as the program's liaison to the athletic department and other departments and organizations on campus.
A 2014 graduate of UTSA with a degree in Public Relations, he was a member of the Roadrunners football team in their initial seasons. He was a walk-on quarterback who played in four games during UTSA's inaugural campaign and in two games in 2012 as a quarterback. He shifted to wide receiver after earning a scholarship in his final season.
Simmons earned second-team All-District 26-5A honors as a senior at New Braunfels High School while leading the team to an 11-4 record and a spot in the Class 5A Division II semifinals that fall.
Simmons is single and makes his home in Houston.
