With two previous walk-off hits in the bottom of the respective ninth innings against Houston (April 11) and Lamar (May 3) to get him ready, Chandler came up with walk-off heroics for the third time in the Championship Final of the Conference USA Tournament... Delivered the game-winning hit with a runner on second base in the bottom of the ninth against No. 11 ranked Southern Miss to win Rice its 23rd conference title... Earlier he helped clinch the Silver Glove Trophy (awarded for the season-long three-game series vs. Houston) by driving home the winning run... Accomplished the walk-off feat a second time three weeks later to cap a winning rally against longtime foe Lamar... One of three Owls to start all 64 games, all in centerfield... Batted leadoff the most of any Owl (25 times), and batted second in the order the second-most on the squad (19 times)... Led the team in total plate appearances (290) and getting hit by a pitch (11)... Finished second on the team in runs scored (55), triples (3), stolen bases (6) and walks (32)... Hit .292 (31-of-106) with a team-best 29 runs scored in 30 C-USA regular season games... Batted .292 (45-of-154) over the team's final 41 games to raise his final season average 45 points... Went 5-for-17 (.294) with a double and a triple in four games at the C-USA Tournament... Finished fourth on the team with 19 multi-hit games, including a season-high three hits five different times... Longest hitting streak was eight games and reached base in 14-straight games during one stretch... Reached base at a .422 pace (35-of-83) when leading off an inning... Hit .322 (38-of-118) in Rice's 33 day games... Proved to be dependable at getting the run in from third base with less than two outs (10-of-13 times, .769), which helped him register a new season-best 39 RBI (fourth-highest on the team)... Drove-in two or more runs in a game ten different times... One of just three Owls to tally four RBI in a game, and he did it three different times -- twice on the strength of grand slam home runs (vs. Southeastern Louisiana and UAB)... Muscled a total of five round-trippers, the last of which was in the NCAA Regional vs. crosstown foe Texas Southern and was also the 200th hit of his collegiate career.
