AAC All-Freshmen team selection, who was a fixture at short all season and became one of the most consistent hitters in the AAC in conference games… Tied for the team lead in games (55) while making 52 starts and hitting .276 (third on the team) with five home runs (tied for second) and 23 RBI… Made 48 starts at shortstop, the most at any position by an Owl… Also ranked second on the squad with 51 hits and 11 stolen bases… Led the squad with a .324 average against lefthanders, and a .431 average leading off an inning… Second on the team with a .292 average in AAC games and hit in 24 of 27 regular season conference games (including 20 in a row)… Made his collegiate debut as a pinch hitter vs. Virginia… Made his first career start in the final game of the series vs. USC and hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th for his first collegiate hit… Walk-off h homer was the first for the Owls since 2021… Drove in just four runs in his first 27 games, but ended the year 19 in his last 28… Held hitless in back-to-back games on 5/18 &21 and was not held without a hit in consecutive games over his last 35 games… Ranked second to teammate Hiram Bocachica Jr (23) with 21 double plays in 27 AAC games… Hit .309 at Reckling Park to lead the team and .304 in day games (second best).
Prior to Rice
Led Blessed Trinity to the 6A state semifinals as a senior before falling to eventual state champion Etowah, 2-0… Second-team all-region selection and won a Gold Glove award….Closed his career with a .292 average, while slugging at a .484 clip, including nine home runs and 68 RBI while also walking 60 times… Played for Team Elite Scout Black/Braves Scout Team in summer baseball. Graduated Summa Cum Laude.
