2026 : Played in 29 games and made 12 starts as a true freshman (9 at 2B, 2 in LF, 1 as the DH) and Rice was 7-5 in his starts… Hit .204 with three doubles and three RBI on the season, but hit .278 in 13 games (three starts) in conference action… Led the Owls in pinch hitting, going 5x10 on the season, including three hits in his last four at bats… Made his debut with a pair of pinch-hit appearances before making his first career start vs. Harvard as the DH on 3/1 and was 1x3 with a walk and a run scored… Made eight of his 12 starts from 3/1-13, with two in left and five at second after JC Davis was injured… Drove in the tying run in the bottom of the eighth. vs. Saint Mary’s on 3/13… Keyed Rice’s ninth-inning rally in the finale vs. Tulane by leading off the inning with a pinch-hit double and scoring along with JC Davis on Hiram Bocachica Jr.’s single… Singled as a pinch hitter with two outs in the seventh vs. UAB in an elimination game at the American Conference Championship and scored on Bocachica’s home run to cut the UAB lead to 5-3.

Threw a complete game to advance Johnson to the second round of the playoffs… Hit .366 with a .520 OBP and 1.014 OPS as a senior… First-team All-State selection by THSBCA as a junior and led the San Antonio area with 41 RBI… Named to USA Baseball’s U15 (2021) and U12 (2018) National Teams and was a member of the gold medal-winning 2018 COPABE U-12 Pan-American Championship team.
