To the Road
Rice opens the first of two road games Saturday night at Navy, before returning to Houston to face HCU on Thursday. The Owls are back at Holloway Field Aug. 23 against Lamar.
Last Time Out
The Owls dropped their season-opening game to Texas A&M 2-1 after a late penalty kick goal gave the Aggies the lead with 10 minutes remaining. Lauren Pickup netted Rice's goal off assists from Jadyn Jaeger and Ava Landstra.
Rice vs. Navy
This is only the second-ever meeting between the two, with the Owls winning the first matchup during the 2024 season 2-1 at Holloway Field.
Preseason Honors
Three Owls represented Rice on the American Conference Preseason Watch List, with Jadyn Jaeger, Lilly Reuscher and Dayo Tennyson all receiving honors. The Owls were picked third in the preseason coaches poll.

The Owls have defended Holloway Field fiercely as of late, going 15-3-3 at home over the last three seasons. Rice has a 146-60-24 all-time home record.
National Recognition
Lilly Reuscher was named to the 2026 United Soccer Coaches Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Watch List. Reuscher was an All-Conference Third Team selection last year, contributing to five shutouts by the Owl defense, and also earned Second Team All-Region honors.
Cloud 10
Rice has secured six 10-win seasons through Head Coach Brian Lee's first seven seasons as head coach. Coach Lee's 2020-21 squad tied the program record for wins in a season with 14.
25 Years of Rice Soccer
This season, the Owls honor 25 years of Rice soccer, recognizing the tremendous success the program has seen since its inaugural season in 2001.
