HOUSTON – The Rice soccer team fell 3-0 to Tulsa Sunday afternoon at Holloway Field. The Owls drop to 3-5-3 (1-2 American), while Tulsa improves to 6-3-2 (1-0-1 American).

How It Happened
Ava Landstra and Lauren Pickup tried getting the Owls on the board early, but the pair of shots couldn't get past the Golden Hurricane defense. Shortly after, at the 20-minute mark, Tulsa struck for the game's opening goal. Neerali Kapadia had a chance late in the half to even the score, but her shot was blocked as Rice trailed 1-0 at halftime.

Rice had opportunities throughout the second half to find the equalizer, but shots from Brianna Bogar and Sloane Popov both found the arms of the Tulsa keeper. Two late goals by Tulsa sealed the win for the Golden Hurricane.
