Owls Wrap Practices with Spring Showcase

Gates open at 5:30 at Rice Stadium
Houston- Dunlevie Family Head Football Coach Scott Abell will close out his second year of spring practices on Friday when the Owls host their first Spring Showcase at Rice Stadium.
The gates to Rice Stadium will open at 5:30, prior to the open practice at 6:30, and the West Concourse will feature a kids zone area that will include inflatables, face painters, and a balloon artist as well as autograph sessions with the team members from a number of Owls' teams, including volleyball and men's golf.
Fans will also have a chance to purchase official football gear and apparel at the Surplus Sale which will also be located on the west concourse.
Free pizza will be available for current Rice students while supplies last. Fans will be able to purchase Chick-fil-A or check out the food truck on site for standard concession items such as hot dogs and hamburgers.
At the conclusion of the practice, fans will be invited onto the field for autographs from all members of the Owls' football team.
Free parking for the Spring Showcase will be available, but due to preparations for the annual Beer Bike competition on Saturday, all parking for the Spring Showcase will be in West Lots 3 & 4.
After Friday's workout, the Owls will return to the practice field at the start of August to begin preparations for the 2026 season opener against HCU at Rice Stadium on September 5.
Information on renewing Rice Football season tickets will be sent to all current account holders on Friday. Fans looking to purchase new season tickets for the 2026 season can express their interest using this form and will be contacted by a sales representative.
