Rice Women’s Tennis to Host NCAA Selection Show Watch Party

HOUSTON – The Rice women's tennis team will host a watch party Monday, April 27, at the Brian Patterson Sports Performance Center. Doors open at 3:15 p.m., with the event set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
The Owls clinched their spot in the NCAA Tournament by securing their first American Conference title last weekend.
Rice enters the tournament ranked No. 42, its highest ranking of the season. The doubles team of Darya Schwartzman and Uma Bakaityte is ranked No. 51.
The NCAA Tournament selection show will air live on NCAA.com, where the 64-team field will be announced. Rice will learn its first-round opponent and site.
Rice earned an at-large bid last season and traveled to College Station, where it fell 4-3 to UC Santa Barbara.
