Owls Head to College Station for Charlie Thomas Invite

HOUSTON – The Rice women's track and field team will look to build upon their successful start to the season this weekend at Texas A&M's Charlie Thomas Invite. The two-day meet is set to begin Friday.
Saniya Friendly is set to race this weekend, currently ranking third in the 60m and seventh in the 200m for the American.
Three Owls rank in the top 10 of the American for the 400m, with Barbora Malíková (second), Arayna Mickles (seventh) and Riana Green (ninth) all running this weekend.
Susie Nestor will run in the 800m, where she currently sits eighth in the conference.
Julia Johannesdottir will have her first pentathlon this season, already boasting the second-fastest 60m hurdles time at Rice.
Josie Taylor and Marsibil Hafsteinsdottir will look to improve on their marks in the high jump, both sitting in the top 10 of the conference.
Conference triple jump leader Savannah Simms will return to the jump this weekend, while also running in the 400m.
