HOUSTON — The Rice women's tennis team continues its homestand Thursday, hosting Texas A&M–Corpus Christi at the George R. Brown Tennis Center.
The Owls opened the stretch with a 6-1 win over UTSA last week. The doubles team of Darya Schwartzman and Nithesa Selvaraj secured the doubles point, and Divna Ratkovic clinched the match for Rice, marking her first match-clinching point of the season.
Rice looks to extend its undefeated record against Texas A&M–Corpus Christi, leading the all-time series 16-0. The Owls have recorded 14 sweeps over the Islanders, including 13 at home.
Four Owls have clinched matches this season. Selvaraj leads with two, while Uma Bakaityte, Francesca Maguina and Ratkovic account for the remaining three.
