6:30 kickoff
Rice's road game at UTSA on October 11 has been selected to appear on ESPNU and will kick off at 6:30 p.m.  The announcement was made jointly by the network and the American Conference on Monday.
This will be the 13th meeting between the schools since 2012 in a series that has been played continuously, except for a cancellation in 2020 due to the pandemic. The Owls snapped an eight-game losing streak in the series with a last-second 29-27 win last year at Rice Stadium.
This will be the seventh meeting at the Alamodome in San Antonio, with the Roadrunners holding a 5-1 lead in games played on their home field.
Rice returns to Rice Stadium this Saturday to face Florida Atlantic at 6 p.m. with coverage on ESPN+, opening a stretch that will see Rice play five of its next six games at Rice Stadium. After the game at UTSA on October 11 and a bye the following Saturday, the Owls will play three consecutive home games (UConn, October 25; Memphis, October 31; and North Texas, November 22).
Single-game tickets for Rice's Families Weekend game against FAU are still available. In addition to the option to purchase individual game tickets, Owl fans also have the option to create their own customized mini plan.
