Dave Campbell’s Texas Football announces 2025 preseason team

Houston- Linebacker Ty Morris and punter Alex Bacchetta have been named to Dave Campbell's Texas Football All-Texas Preseason Team, which was revealed on Monday.

Both players were named to the second team.

Morris was a second-team All-AAC by College Football News after leading the team with a career-best 56 tackles and four sacks. He ranked second on the squad with 7.5 tackles for loss, tied for fourth in QB hits (3), and was fifth in total pressures (13). The true sophomore saw action in all 12 games (429 snaps) and made the first four starts of his career (Houston, UConn, Navy, Memphis).

Bacchetta took over the bulk of the punting chores for the Owls after transferring from Penn State and ranked seventh in the AAC with a 41.5 average on 49 punts. He had 10 punts of 50+ yards with a long of 59 at UAB and placed 11 inside the 20.
